Emcol Skid Resist provides an extremely durable slip and skid resistant surface. This technology can be used on a number of surfaces including concrete, steel, timber and asphalt.
Driving in wet conditions can cause major hazards. The same can be said for runways. To reduce the amount of water on road surfaces, an increasing number of roads are being surfaced with porous asphalt which allows water to drain
through the wearing course making road conditions safer. In light of these changes, Emcol International has developed two new repair compounds which share the same characteristics as porous asphalt.
Emcol Porous Asphalt Repair Compound - for use on highways and roads
Emcol Friction Course Repair Compound - for use on runways
These repair compounds reduce the risk of aquaplaning, reduce road noise and improve visibility in wet weather.
The product is extremely useful when applied to pedestrian crossings, approaches to traffic lights, roundabouts, steep gradients and car parks. Vehicle breaking distances can be reduced by as much as 30% through the use of skid resist technology.
Emcol Skid Resist has also been used with great success on carriageways and footbridges.
